THROB – The Heart Rehabilitation Organisation of Berkshire
The aim of the THROB organisation is to promote cardiac rehabilitation in the Berkshire area covered by Heatherwood Hospital in Ascot and the Wexham Park Hospital in Slough. Classes are held at Windsor, Maidenhead, Langley, Ascot & Bracknell. For further information, please click here
Shopmobility
Both Windsor and Maidenhead town centres have shopmobility schemes. Anyone with mobility difficulties can hire a manual or powered wheelchair or scooter for the day to get around the shops and town centre attractions.
They cost £4 for the day and can be booked in advance by calling Maidenhead 01628 543038 or Windsor 01753 622330 or email shopmobility@rbwm.gov.uk for Maidenhead and w.shopmobility@rbwm.gov.uk for Windsor.
