East Berkshire Primary Care Out of Hours Services (EBPC) is looking to recruit GPs for sessional work.
We are a not for profit, Community Benefit Society registered with the FSA and are currently providing services within Berkshire, South Buckinghamshire and the London Borough of Richmond covering a population of 650,000 patients.
We have Primary Care Centres (PCCs) at Herschel Medical Centre in Slough, Brants Bridge Healthspace in Bracknell, King Edward VII Hospital in Windsor and St Marks Hospital in Maidenhead. We also manage Urgent Care Centres (UCCs) at Wexham Park Hospital (WPH) in Slough and St Marks Hospital in Maidenhead in the Outpatients Department. We have recently opened a new Out of Hours Service in Richmond (London) where we have a 5th Primary Care Centre based at Teddington Memorial Hospital and a home visiting service. We have five cars which are used for home visits; all fitted with a tracking system, resuscitation kits, oxygen, secure drug cabinets and on board computers.
We run the following sessional types on the rota:
PCC – on site, face to face consultations
Advice Line – telephone advice which can be done from home or on site, and
Home Visits – with our own driver and car provided.
We also have daytime sessions available from our UCC in Wexham Park Hospital so Doctors are able to vary the type of sessions they want to pick up.
The Society is very much a community; many doctors have been working with the society for the last 17 years. Many of these doctors are partners at local practices but with the changes in the NHS we recognise more demands are being made on GPs in hours and for this reason we can offer flexible sessional shifts to work around you.
If you are interested in picking up some sessions with us in any of our locations or would like further information, please contact Denise Spiller via our switchboard on 03000243333 or email [email protected] to obtain further details.
